Our Guarantee to You 

 

At All Violin Academy, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase.  You should own an instrument that you really want, and it should be easy and fun to find it.  All instruments are carefully tested, inspected, and expertly packed and shipped to you.  We are confident you'll find your violin, viola or cello to be great sounding and a great value, because we want you as a client for life.

  • You always have 30 days after the date you receive your violin, cello ro viola to return it, and try another instrument or receive a full refund, less shipping.   This return policy applies to all instruments sold on our website, unless otherwise specified. 
  • Refunds are issued after the instrument is received and inspected by us, and are issued in the same form as payment was received by us.  Instrument must be in original condition.

  • If a defective item fails within 12 months of purchase and it has not been damaged due to neglect or improper care, we will repair or replace it free of charge to you.  Strings are not warrantied.

  • Vintage instruments are guaranteed to remain in playable condition, unless damaged or destroyed by improper care or neglect after the sale, for one year; we will repair them free of charge once shipped to us, fully insured.

  • Any previous repairs made to a vintage instrument are guaranteed for as long as you own the instrument; if a previous repair fails, we will repair it free of charge when shipped to us fully insured, or we will credit to you 100% of your original purchase price, less shipping, toward another instrument of equal or higher price.

 

Trade-In

 

We offer 100% trade-in on any violin, viola or cello returned to us in original condition.  There is no "buyer's remorse" here.

  • Trade-in must be for an instrument of higher value than the original purchase.   A modest 5 percent restocking fee and shipping charges will apply. 
  • Of course, any damages or wear will reduce the value of the instrument.  We also must set up the instrument to pristine condition.  Usually at minimum, we will need to replace the bridge and strings and perform an inspection and "tune up."  These services are done for a reasonable amount and will be charged against the purchase of your new instrument.

  • One trade up for each original purchase.  If the violin, viola or cello was purchased with No Interest Payment Plan, the total monies due on any outstanding balance must be paid in full prior to trade in.
  • If you have an violin, viola or cello bought elsewhere that you wish to trade in towards your All Violin Academy purchase, please call us at 800-527-1020.  While we do not sell instruments to our clients that have been taken in trade (as this may affect the quality of our inventory) we may be able to take your instrument in trade and place it with another dealer.
     

Returns

 

If you receive a damaged or defective item, feel another violin, cello, viola or item may better suit you, or wish to trade up an instrument, please contact us at 1-800-527-1020.  Our staff will give you options and information, and if a return is necessary, provide you with a Return Authorization Number.  Here are some tips on safe returns:

  • Call All Violin for your return number and instructions.

  • Always package the item in the exact manner it was shipped to you, including replacing the packing "pillows" on each side of the instrument bridge, lowering the instrument tuning one-quarter turn from pitch, securing straps and latches, and assuring that box paddding is adequate on all four sides of the instrument.
  • Note your Return Authorizaion Number on your invoice.

  • Affix address labels inside and outside the box seal the box completely with clear packing tape.
  • Insure it with your carrier for full retail value of the item.
